DAB+ is no longer the stuff of test transmissions. Two services on the national ensemble, Norge Riks are broadcasting in DAB+. THE VOICE NORGE and Radio Tango are both running at 80 kbit/s.
The Norwegian public-service broadcaster NRK reports on its DAB web pages that the FM transmitter network will begin to be shut down in 2017.

The tech specs promise support for DAB, DAB+ and DMB-A in both Band III and L-band. This model also marks the debut of the latest Pure chargePAK device. Enter the M1 - a lithium ion device offering 1000mAh, which amounts to about 14 hours of DAB listening. Unusually, this chargePAK is supplied with the receiver. The fact that it's removable is especially welcome as it makes it easy to replace when it becomes worn out, but can also be removed in the unlikely event you're not going to use the radio for a while. Pinell Supersound iRadio II
The Norwegian manufacturer Pinell has upgraded its Supersound iRadio and called it... the Supersound iRadio II.
Among the improved features are a Remote Control, a more powerful loudspeaker, Menu language options. The radio makes use of the new Venice 6.2 chip.
Pinell have made the User Manual available in English, Norwegian or Swedish versions on their website

Revo Domino
The Domino. It takes up little room, but promises a big sound.
The receiver comes in three versions:- D1 is a DAB/DAB+ receiver with iPod/iPhone dock. D2 is a WiFi and streaming device with iPod/iPhone dock (no DAB). D3 has all the features of D1 and D2. All three versions are available in Satin Black or Pearl White.
Revo Heritage
This latest Revo receiver is "a contemporary reinterpretation of classic European table radio designs from the 1960s, constructed using aluminium and real walnut veneer" and is not just a digital radio but iPod/iPhone dock and WiFi radio also.
The radio is powered from the mains using a supplied universal DC power adaptor (100-240v).
Commercial broadcasters in Norway have already begun using DAB+ on the national ensemble. Wohnort recommends that you buy a receiver that is DAB+ capable if you intend to use it in this country.
