There are currently no DAB transmissions in Austria. Two pilot ensembles, one in Vienna and the other in Innsbruck stopped broadcasting at the end of December 2008. There are no plans to resume broadcasting any time soon. Austria will most likely watch and wait to see how the roll-out of in Switzerland and the promised relaunch in Germany proceed.
